Part-time position: Education & Membership Administration Officer

Disability Sport & Recreation (DSR) is excited to offer a new part time position available for immediate start supporting the continued growth of our WheelTalk disability awareness program.


As our new Education & Membership administration officer you will undertake administration of DSR's Education programs including WheelTalk to ensure efficient delivery of the service to schools and the community.


You will also liaise with program facilitators and presenters.


Another aspect of this role will be to manage aspects of DSR membership including responding to inquiries, registrations and reporting.


This role is prioritised for people with a disability. People with disability are strongly encouraged to apply and will be given priority consideration.


  • This role is on a part-time basis.

  • $27.94 per hour plus 10% Superannuation. Salary Packaging benefit available.

  • This position will work flexibly from both the Disability Sport & Recreation (DSR) Collingwood office and from a home office (if applicable).

  • The role is available for immediate start.


What is WheelTalk:


WheelTalk is an interactive program that encourages students and the community to think about diversity, acceptance and disability – with a primary focus on inclusion.


Presented by Victorians with disability who are actively involved in sport and recreation, WheelTalk combines unique stories of lived disability with the opportunity to play up to an hour of AFL Wheelchair or wheelchair basketball.



Your key responsibilities will be:


WheelTalk Program

(note that all references to WheelTalk include the IMPACT corporate program)


  • Complete all administrative functions of the WheelTalk program including coordinating all WheelTalk bookings with schools and allocate appropriate presenters according to established procedures and using Microsoft Bookings.

  • Ensure a harmonious working relationship within the organisation’s Community Training Support officers.

  • Liaise with the finance department on booking completions and invoicing.

  • Follow up any outstanding invoices and queries

  • Collect feedback from each school post presentation, collate data and present to the Manager - Programs and Events.

  • Provide data (ie collate survey results and bookings registrations) to assist the Manager - Programs and Events in planning for the growth of the WheelTalk program and the preparation of the budget.

  • On advice from the Community Training Support officers, advise the Manager - Programs and Events of any vehicle issues or maintenance requirements.

  • On advice from the Community Training Support officers, advise maintenance contractor to undertake works to ensure appropriate general and preventative maintenance is undertaken of the WheelTalk wheelchairs.

  • Ensure DSR WheelTalk vehicles and trailers are clean and represent the organisation in a positive light

Membership
  • Administer new membership registrations into the CRM Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Prepare and email welcome letters to new members.

  • Provide membership and application data for reporting to CEO.

  • Ensure all CRM membership database information is correct and updated.

  • Add members to overall database.

General
  • Complete all required online reporting as well as any reports requested.

  • Actively contribute to the organisation culture and success in a positive manner.

  • Attend staff meetings and any other meetings as scheduled.

  • All other duties as directed by Manager- Sport and Recreation.
