2023 DSR Board Directors & Committee Members

Disability Sport and Recreation (DSR) is delighted to announce the appointment of four newly elected Board Directors: Anthony Edgar, Ben Aldham, Jo Hansen, and Kristin Rutherford. We are also thrilled to welcome Callum Collect to our Finance Risk and Audit (FRAC) committee.

We extend a warm welcome to these individuals, whose contributions will play a crucial role in shaping DSR's ongoing and future initiatives. Their expertise and perspectives will significantly contribute to the important work we do. They join our existing Board Directors: Sarah Anderson (Chair), Shaun Whittaker, Stuart Ewin, and Madeleine Hogan.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Sheri Johnston, who has completed her tenure on the DSR Board. Sheri served as a Board Director and Chair of the FRAC committee since 2018. Her commitment and unwavering dedication to DSR has been truly exceptional and we extend our best wishes to her for her future endeavors.

Anthony Edgar - Director; Chair of FRAC

Anthony has over 20 years of experience in the sports and recreation industry, holding senior leadership positions at some of Australia's most prominent and innovative providers.


Throughout his career, Anthony has focused on re-engineering operations and providing strategic, commercial, and operational support to key stakeholders, including government and private entities. He is committed to driving success for all parties involved through strategic planning, effective communication, and a customer-centric approach.


Anthony is passionate about creating positive experiences for customers and employees and seeks innovative ways to achieve this goal.

Jo Hansen - Director


Jo Hansen has over 25 years of experience working in sports, recreation, and leisure facilities. Currently, Jo is the Partnerships and Recreation Facilities Manager at the City of Melbourne, a position she has held for the past year.


Jo is passionate about ensuring everyone in the community has access to sports, recreation, and leisure facilities. Previously, she served on the Aquatics and Recreation Victoria Board and volunteered as a member of Life Saving Victoria's Female Leadership Panel.

Ben Aldham - Director


Ben Aldham brings extensive experience across multiple sectors, with a career spanning over 20 years in industry, research, education, and government.

Currently, Ben serves as the Executive Manager of Business Operations in CSIRO's Digital Business unit D61. Prior to this role, he held significant leadership positions, including Deputy Director of the CSIRO Services Business Unit and Executive Manager at CSIRO Global.


In addition to his professional pursuits, Ben is passionate about running. He has successfully completed marathons and ultra-trail events, witnessing firsthand the positive impact that sports can have on individuals' lives. Through this role, he hopes to enable more people to enjoy these benefits.

Kristin Rutherford – Director


Kristin brings a wealth of experience to DSR as an advisor specialising in workforce capability and organisational effectiveness. With a career spanning nearly 20 years, she has worked across various sectors, including Not for Profit, FMCG, financial services and retail.


As a proud mother of two boys, Kristin's youngest son suffered an injury that resulted in an acquired brain injury. This personal experience has fuelled her passion for promoting participation and inclusivity.

Callum Collet - FRAC member

Callum has made a significant impact on the finance industry since graduating in 2018 with a double degree in Business. His majors in Accounting, Banking & Finance, and minors in Management and Taxation have equipped him with a strong foundation.


Currently, Callum leads the finance team at new law firm Law Squared. In this role, he has been responsible for key initiatives, such as developing the financial frameworks for the firm's expansion into the UK and leading the financial aspect of their digital transformation.


During his spare time, Callum is a passionate sports enthusiast, particularly when it comes to AFL. He also has a keen interest in exploring the Melbourne food scene, investing, and discovering the best destinations for day trips around Victoria.
