February marked the return of our hugely popular DSR Summer Kids Camp which took place at YMCA’s Camp Manyung in Mt Eliza from 18 - 20 of February.

This year’s camp saw DSR take nine participants, with ages ranging from 8 to 17 along with four volunteer nurses and two DSR support staff.

A highlight of all DSR Kids Camps are the activities such as tree rolling (accessible ropes course), archery, pizza making and the giant swing! We also snuck in a trip down to the beach to cool down after a day full of fun.

Our programs team caught up with Tommy to get his thoughts on this year’s camp.

The video features DSR Camp participant, Tommy, sitting at a table outdoors talking about his experience at the 2022 DSR Kids Summer Camp. The video also contains snippets of kids participating in camp activities, such as archery, tree rolling, the big swing and visiting the beach.
