Disability Sport and Recreation (DSR) are excited to announce that Liz Tesone has been appointed as new Chief Executive Officer.
Liz has extensive non for profit, disability and leadership experience who has been part of the DSR board for the past three years.
DSR Chair Dr Sarah Anderson said it was an exciting period of growth and opportunity for the organisation with the move into the newly completed building occurring late November.
“We’re delighted to officially welcome Liz to this pivotal role” she said.
“The Board has no doubt Liz will move seamlessly into the CEO role.
“Liz has a thorough insight and engagement with the organisation, its members, stakeholders and community which is extremely advantageous.
“We are very excited to see Liz expand upon these contributions and lead DSR forward for the betterment of our staff, members and the broader disability community"
Liz said she was honoured to be given the opportunity to lead DSR into a new era.
“I am really excited to take on this new role. I thank the Board for the faith they have shown in me and I look forward to spending more time with our teams, members and broader community.
“I’ve got a head start knowing the organisation well but I look forward to getting an even better understanding about the impact our organisation can have on everyday lives."
Liz will be commencing in the role Monday 17th October and will have a through three week handover period.
We want to thank Richard Anon immensely for his tenure for the past seven years as CEO. His tremendously positive impact on DSR has been significant, and we all want to wish him the best in his next endeavour.
