The Corporate Wheelchair Challenge is a fun, inclusive challange where colleagues can get out of the office,

enjoy friendly competition and experience wheelchair sports at the VDSR Festival!

​​​​​The Game Format 

​

Wheelchair Rugby is an inclusive, full-contact team sport. It combines elements of basketball, rugby and handball, aiming to carry the ball across the opposing team's goal line while navigating through opponents using wheelchairs to block and tackle. It promotes team spirit and competitiveness in an exciting environment. 

​

• Six (6) teams in total, each consisting of at least five (5) players. 

• The teams will compete in preliminary matches, semi-finals and one grand final. 

• Matches will consist of 2 x 3-5-minute halves each. 

• The Challange is scheduled to run from 11:00am to 1:00pm, offering an exciting and action-packed competition in a limited timeframe.

How to Enter the Challange 

​

The Corporate Challenge is open to everyone, including corporations, small businesses, sports organisations and non-profits.  

 

We invite you to participate in the Wheelchair Corporate Challenge by assembling a team and raising $1,800+ GST donation as an entry fee. With this donation DSR are able to:

• Generate essential funds to support DSR's ongoing efforts. 

• Increase awareness of our community initiatives. 

• Highlight the daily accessibility challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
