Manager - Business Development

In order to ensure we achieve our vision we need to establish and maintain commercial partnerships and gain visibility in the corporate sector. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional person to the role of Manager – Business Development to focus in this area.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining commercial partnerships
  • Managing the business development strategies for the organisation including grant submissions and presentations to potential investors
  • Securing new income by way of grants, investment, donations and partnerships
  • Manage the overall communication function of the organisation

The successful candidate will:

  • Be extremely competitive, energetic and goal orientated
  • Enjoy working independently and have a strong sense of urgency
  • Have minimum 3 years in a sales/commercial development role
  • Have a network of contacts
  • Enjoy the opportunity and challenge of working in the NFP sector
  • Have outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills, including strong influencing & negotiating ability
  • Reasonable level computer abilities
  • Ability to focus on the big picture
  • Like to win!
  • Have a passion for Disability Sport & Recreation

SportRec Navigator (volunteer position)

SportRec Access, a new Disability Sport and  Recreation initative, adopts a person-centred approach towards service delivery and is a “one-stop-shop” for Victorians with disability to take part in sport and recreation.

The SportRec Navigators, within the SportRec Access team, will assist people with disabilities to access local sport and recreation activities of interest and work with providers in promoting new and existing sport & recreation programs throughout Victoria.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • High levels of competence searching the internet
  • Experience using Microsoft Software packages
  • Passion for disability sport and recreation
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
